Sex At The Shore – Benefit for Stephanie Swift
A short while ago, I had posted the terrible news about Stephanie Swift being diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, Stephanie has undergone a double mastectomy and further surgery to remove cancerous lymph nodes. She is a onetime contract performer for Wicked Pictures, and has been a performer in the adult industry since 1995.
Stephanie could very well have let this unfortunate event lead her down a negative path for the rest of her life, but she decided to find strength within herself and turn it into something good.
“I want to start a scholarship fund and I want to start a foundation for other people that things happen to. Any kind of tragedy. It doesn’t have to be cancer. There are things that happen to people and they have nothing to fall back upon in our business. I want to put that in my name. It’s important to me that I do that.” Swift said when she made her cancer public.
Since then, Stephanie’s wishes have begun to become a reality. The “Sex at the Shore” benefit to aid the adult star in her battle against breast cancer, will take place tomorrow night at the Shore Ultra Lounge in Long Beach. X-Play/All Media Play director Jeff Mullen is calling on the adult industry and its fans to help raise money for Swift to continue treatment by attending the event at $35 per ticket or donating by sending a check directly to the Stephanie Swift Breast Cancer Care Fund. ” Sometimes in life we move through at light speed concentrating on our own business and then you hear of somebody that is in desperate need of some help like Stephanie. Well now is the time to help ” Mullen said.
” We had been so busy delivering our new movie Flight Attendants that I realized that, in the grand scheme of things, there are other things much more important than porn comedies. If you can’t make the event this weekend you can still help out with a check “, Mullen offered. ” And to all of my media friends out there who can help pass the word on, yes I do realize I am quoting myself”, Mullen chuckled as he mentioned that Stephanie was in high spirits, with a smile on her face and confidence in being able to beat her cancer with treatment.
