Third World Media Lands AVN Award for ‘Naughty Little Asians’
CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult studio Third World Media landed an AVN Award for its critically acclaimed series, “Naughty Little Asians” for the show’s Best Ethnic-Themed Series — Asian category.
“Naughty Little Asians,” now on its 24th volume, is one of the first titles the company produced and its AVN Award win is its first. Shot when Third World Media was known as Asian Eyes, the series debuted in January 2000 and met with rave reviews. Each new movie gained a wider and more dedicated audience with its authentic X-rated Japanese entertainment.
“What differentiates Third World Media in the market is that we don’t shoot in the US, for the most part,” Steve Scott, president of Third World Media, said. “When we say ‘ethnic adult entertainment,’ we mean that. The performer you’ll see is from Japan and not some Japanese-American girl who grew up in Torrance. Not to disparage anyone else’s product, but shooting Asian girls from the US just doesn’t seem like an ethnic Asian movie to us.”
Third World Media‘s library now includes additions from Thailand and Brazil. In addition to those titles, the company’s tranny movies shot in those countries are also well reviewed and respected.
“By dedicating our company to presenting authentic Asian and Latin movies, in the boy/girl, tranny and gay genres, we’ve built an audience that’s looking for an authentic experience when it comes to their ethnic X-rated movies,” Scott said. “It means, sometimes, that we can’t produce these movies as quickly as others, but we won’t sacrifice quality for a release schedule.”
