Golden Age Distributor Dynasty Group Distribution Prepares for Opening; Names Plan 9 Media for Public Relations
LOS ANGELES — Dynasty Group Distribution prepares to open its doors on July 21, aiming to bring many of adult’s greatest Golden Age classics under one roof for the first time.
Industry veteran Jon Islas, president of Dynasty Group Distribution, brings years of hands-on experience selling the industry’s most acclaimed classic titles on DVD to the company. Dynasty Group Distribution will specialize in exclusive distribution agreements of classic titles produced during the X-rated industry’s Golden Age.
“Our goal is to work with the producers of Golden Age movies to increase their revenue while reducing overhead, offering superior service and most of all giving those titles the respect they deserve,”
Islas said. “One of the most profitable sections of any online or brick-and-mortar store is its classic section — classic erotica is a solid bedrock that always generates interest and produces sales.
Dynasty Group Distribution’s marketing is based on proven sales strategies and educating distributors, retailers and consumers about what makes those productions special and worthy of being classics as well as increasing the movies’ awareness and sales through that education.”
The company tapped Plan 9 Media Group, headed by noted adult public relations consultants Shari Beaumont and Wayne Hentai, to get the word out about the classic titles and producers Dynasty Group Distribution will represent.
“When it comes to movies made back in the ’70s and ’80s, Jon’s one of the most enthusiastic people I know of,” Hentai said. “We’ve been friends for years and I couldn’t imagine anyone else but Jon to sit at the head of a distributor that caters to the Golden Age producers and the customers that buy their product. Islas said the adult public relations company will be busy getting the word out about Dynasty Group Distribution’s coming announcements.
