More than 60 Cal-Vista Classics to Make Internet Debut on VCX.com
LAS VEGAS – The top 60-plus titles produced by Cal-Vista in the ’70s and ’80s will be available for the first time on VCX’s video on demand site, VCX.com.
David Sutton, president of VCX, said Cal-Vista titles such as “Nothing to Hide,” an adaptation of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men,” and “Eruption,” an adult homage to “From Here to Eternity” that includes a re-creation of the mainstream movie’s beach scene featuring Leslie Bovee and John Holmes, will be available through the site. The award winning feature “Suzie Superstar” and the Aunt Peg series including “Aunt Peg’s Fulfillment,” as well as “Easy,” “Sorority Pink,”and “Vista Valley PTA,” among many others, will also be available.
“We’ve encoded the videos in three different bandwidth sizes,” he said. “There will be something for anyone with an Internet connection. The highest resolution videos look spectacular on a high speed connection and all three sizes can be either streamed or downloaded. This is just the beginning in our roll out of the Cal-Vista’s classics. Just on the heels of this Internet delivery will be the release of the first five Cal-Vista blockbusters on DVD in early July: ‘Nothing to Hide,’ ‘Easy,’ ‘Suzie Superstar,’ ‘Sorority Pink’ and ‘Eruption’ – not only the greatest Cal-Vista titles ever, but five of the greatest titles in the history of adult feature film.
“We’re also going to incorporate several other streaming technologies onto the VCX.com portal over the next several months,” Sutton continued. “DivX Download to Burn as well as a new proprietary codec that works very similar to Flash, called Evotum. We’ll not only be adding the great Cal-Vista classic lineup in these formats, but the entire VCX classic library as well. It’s going to be a very busy time and we’re very excited going forward.”
The new Cal-Vista titles will go live on VCX.com at 5 p.m. Pacific time on Friday, June 6, 2008.
